DARE Program1


Professionals from the National Heart Centre conducted a DARE Program for 60 TEAMgOLD members, national squad trainees and parents on Sunday 20 January 2019 from 10am to 11am at the STF National Training Centre.


They were taught how to respond if they witnessed a cardiac arrest, guide through a step-by-step instruction on how to co-operate with the 995 dispatcher, perform CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). A 20 minute hands-on practice (chest compression only) was also conducted with facilitators.

Mrs Natalia Chaykun, one of the trainees' mother, thanked the STF for organizing the session which had taught her valuable lessons on how to react should she come upon a situation that requires immediate respond.
