Selected athletes are strongly encouraged to join the national squad training as soon as possible by registering their interest through their club coach. Please note that as per current policy, to continue to recognize the efforts of our club coaches, athletes must continue to be members of their registered clubs to continue national squad training. Affiliates will have the rights to withdraw their players from the squads at their own discretion.

As previously stated, a training camp will be held on 17-19 June 2019 and a second selection will be held on 18th June 2019 for the following championships.

  • Korean Open (July 2019)

  • Kimunyong Cup (July 2019)

  • Asian Junior Taekwondo Championships (July 2019)

  • Asian Open Taekwondo Championships (August 2019)

The training camp is hence compulsory for the athletes who wish to be selected for the above championships. These competitions are for athletes to meet the SNOC Selection Policy for the 2019 SEA Games, which is to be at least third in Southeast Asia.

Furthermore, athletes who are selected to participate in the above championships have to attend at least 80% of the trainings in order to participate in championships.

Athletes who were not selected should continue to train hard with their club coaches and aim for the next open selection.
