The Poomsae Referee Refresher Seminar will be held on Sunday 24 November 2013 from 9.00am to 1pm at the STF National Training Centre.
This is a reminder to all qualified poomsae referees (active or inactive) to attend the seminar if they wish to continue officiating.
Clubs, which participate in poomsae competitions, will do well to have qualified poomsae referees in their teams for three reasons – they can compete in the names of their clubs, they do not have to depend on other clubs for referees, and they can capitalize on the expertise for their referees to prepare their players better.
As the Singapore Taekwondo Federation is planning to introduce creative poomsae next year, the seminar will cover both standard and creative poomsae rules.
The dress code is ‘dobok’.
Participants are required to bring their own writing materials and be prepared for the tests which will comprise the following.
- Recitation of STF pledge
- Theory – Error Identification and Presentation Evaluation
- Practical – Poomsae Performance (One poomsae selected from Sa-Jang to Taebaek)
