Mr Milan Kwee, Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) President, has been re-elected as a member of the Singapore National Olympic Council at its Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, 22 July 2015 at Raffles Town Club.
Five National Sports Association (NSA) representatives stood for election. Mr Kwee was one of the three elected. The other two were Ms Juliana Seow from Fencing Singapore and Dr Melanie Chew from Equestrian Federation of Singapore.
Based on the results, Mr Kwee seemed to the most popular among the candidates as he garnered the highest number of votes. This came as no surprise for some as he had good personal relationship with officials from a number of NSAs. He had also contributed actively as a member of the Council by, among other things, heading the Organizing Committee of the Singapore Sports Awards Night 2014.
The STF is proud of Mr Kwee’s achievement and is delighted to know that he is committed to the improvement of not only taekwondo but sports in Singapore.
