Our players gave credible performances at the following 2 international competitions which saw them finishing top in some of their events.
– 13th ASEAN Taekwondo Championships
(23 to 25 March 2017 in Perlis, Malaysia)
– Asian Cities Taekwondo Championships
(22 & 23 April 2017 in Hong Kong)
In the ASEAN Championships, Ng Ming Wei clinched the silver medal in the Men Under 54kg, losing narrowly to his Vietnamese opponent. The team came back with 1 silver and 8 bronze medals. The team also won the overall 2nd runner-up trophies in the Poomsae Junior & Senior Divisions.
After the outing in Perlis, the team was on full swing and outdid themselves by winning 7 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.
