All Club leaders, administrators and coaches are advised to not only prepare their players for next year’s competitions but also ensure that sufficient qualified officials are available to support their team.
The qualified officials include coaches and referees (both poomsae and kyorugi) which all participating clubs must provide as a condition for participation.
This year several clubs have problems getting coaches and referees and as a result they had to ‘beg’ the other more organized clubs to help them. It is certainly not healthy to depend on others as the others may not be that generous the next time.
The STF will be conducting a series of courses which clubs should take advantage of. It is better to have more qualified officials than not enough or no official.
The Tournament Committee under the leadership of Mr Lee Thiam Poh is working out the tournament dates. The schedules will be announced as soon as it is ready.
The National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships will be held as follows:
- 11 & 12 April 2011 – Primary Schools
- 13 & 14 April 2011 – Secondary Schools
- 15 April 2011 – Junior Colleges
