The workshop is open to red (senior and junior), poom and black belt holders. Senior Red 1 and black belt holders are reminded that they will be required to recite the STF pledge at the end of the workshop.
The primary objective of the workshop is to point out to participants their performance flaws and the areas they should work on from the examiners’ perspective. This will give the candidates a better chance of passing.
During the workshop, participants will be briefed on the grading guidelines and the expectations of the examiners.
Coaches may use the information acquired by their students at the workshop as a basis to guide them for their grading.
All candidates who have attended the workshop are reminded to submit a copy of the certificate of participation with their grading applications.
For red (junior) and 1st poom candidates, a copy of the certificate should be attached to their grading cards. This is necessary for the examiners to give them special consideration, if required.
The registration form is available in the Forms folder.

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation has decided to release the NCAP (Level 2) results after the National Taekwondo Kyorugi Championships so that coaches do not need to upgrade their coach passes which would incur an upgrade fee.
Participants in the course must have their current coach pass validated at the competition venue to enable them to accompany their players into the field of play.
Please report to Ms Theresa Lee at the venue or participants may have their passess validated at the office before the tournament.
The team manager briefing and drawing of lots for the 2016 National Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships will be held on Sunday 21 August 2016 at 4.00pm at the STF National Training Centre.
The blank fixtures are attached. The programme will be announced after confirmation of the draws.
Please print a copy of the blank fixtures for the briefing.
Club officials are advised to check the competitors’ names and their events for any mistakes. They may request to change from the head kick to the non head kick category only for categories with one competitor. This is to give these competitors an opportunity to compete in the tournament.
Any amendments or verifications MUST be made before the drawing of lots. Any request after the draws will NOT be entertained.

Club leaders and coaches are reminded that the new grading system introducing foundation levels and provisional poom belt will take effect in January 2017. The primary objectives for the new system are as follows:
Foundation Levels: To ensure that participants are ready for the challenges of the sport.
Provisional Poom Belt: To enhance the standard of children holding poom belt.
Foundation Levels
The foundation levels are entry requirements to White 10 for all participants who are 12 years and below based on year. The coaches shall decide on the number of levels the children shall take at a time – one level each time, one and two followed by three or one followed by two and three. If they deem that the candidates are ready for all the three levels, they may arrange for them to be assessed in one test.
For young children who are 5 years old and below based on year, there will be no formal assessment for the first two foundation levels. The coaches will award them the two grades based on their ability to perform the skill requirements during training.
Videos of the requirements for the three foundation levels are available on Singapore Taekwondo Federation Official Gallery on Facebook.
Provisional Poom Belt
For Red 1, candidates will pass, fail or given a provisional pass. Those who are given a provisional pass will be required to go for a confirmation test within a year. They may take the test either 3 months, 6 months or 9 months after obtaining their provisional grade. An additional 3 months will be granted for those who are unable to complete the test after 9 months and have valid reasons to support their inability to do so. Candidates who cannot achieve confirmation within a year will be reverted to Red 1.
Candidates will only be assessed on the areas of improvement during their confirmation test and will be allowed to take their 2nd poom one year after obtaining their provisional grade on the condition that they have their grade confirmed within the period.
