IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.    Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours.

2.    Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed.  A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached.

3.    For  ALL candidates who are going for Red 1 & above, please have the following documents during submission:

a.    Candidate’s grading card

b.    1 photocopy of the candidate’s Identity Card (front & back) / Birth Certificate (for candidate below age of 12)

c.    2 recent IC / passport photographs of the candidate

d.    Form B (duly completed)

Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.

4.    Submission will not be accepted if candidate fails to produce any of the documents mentioned above.

5.    The last day of submission is on 28 March 2016 (MONDAY). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.

6.    Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 29 March 2016 (Tuesday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission. The charges are as follows:

7.    An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Brown 1 & above.

8.    A roll call will be taken at 1.30pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 2.30pm for 1st dan and higher candidates. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.

9.    Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.

10.  Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.

11.  Candidates will be taking the grading at their own risk and therefore will not hold the Federation, the Grading Department or anyone so concerned, responsible for any injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading.

2016 Nestle Koko Krunch – Blank Fixtures

The blank fixtures for the 2016 Nestle Koko Krunch tournament are attached.

All participating clubs are advised to send at least one representative for the briefing and drawing of lots which will be held on Sunday 28 February 2016 from 4.30pm at the STF National Training Centre.

Club officials are reminded that the following is strictly not allowed.

–  Employ coaches from other clubs to coach their members during the competition.

–  Field their members under other clubs.

Participants will be disqualified if coaches from their clubs are not available to accompany them to the arena. It will not be acceptable to use the excuse that the participant’s coach is at another court as the competition cannot be delayed. 


Please bring along a copy of the blank fixtures.  All amendments or corrections must be made before the commencement of the draws.


Participating clubs that have not submitted the referees’ names must do so before the commencement of the meeting.

STF President Respected Internationally

If his recent international appointments are anything to go by, Mr Milan Kwee, STF President, is well respected for his ability to contribute to the development of taekwondo in particular and sport in general. 

His key appointments include the following:

  • World Taekwondo Federation Council Member
  • Singapore National Olympic Council Member 

More recently he was appointed by the President of the World Taekwondo Federation as the Vice-Chairman of the Ethics Committee and the President of the Commonwealth Taekwondo Union as the Vice-President of the Union. 

Mr Kwee’s recognition will bring credit and honor to Singapore and the Singapore Taekwondo Federation.  The taekwondo community in Singapore is certainly proud to have him as their leader.

NCAP (Level 2) Technical Course (March 2016)

The NCAP (Level 2) Technical Course will be held on 5, 6, 26 & 27 March 2016 at the STF National Training Centre.

We wish to remind all coaches that the NCAP (Level 2) Technical will be a requirement for all local coaches who wish to coach at national-level competitions, namely the National Inter-Schools and National Kyorugi Championships.

We encourage coaches to upgrade themselves for the benefits of their students.

If you have not achieved your Level 2 qualification, this will be your chance to do so before the National Inter-School Championships which will be held in April 2016.  It may be a requirement for all local tournaments after the 2017 Coach Seminar.

Bishan Community Club Martial Arts Demonstration Day

Taekwondo members from the Bishan Community Club, led by Mr Rocky Go, performed at the Martial Arts Demonstration Day held at its premises on 17 January 2016.

Mr Go said, “It was a very good performance despite having only 6 demonstrators.  I am glad that the members exercised good team spirit and the seniors showed good leadership in taking care of the event and guiding the juniors.”

Unarmed Combat Course (Level 1) for Poom and Black Belt Holders (February 2016)

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation has received several requests by clubs to organize an Unarmed Combat Course (Level 1).

It has decided to conduct the course on 27 & 28 February 2016 and 5 March 2016 at the STF National Training Centre for poom and black belt holders.

The course timings and other details are attached.  Please take note of the registration period and fees.

Coach Induction Course (Saturday 27 February 2016)

The next coach induction course for coaches who wish to obtain the professional coach pass will be held as follows.

Eligibility  :  Minimum NCAP (Level 1) Technical or Poomsae Coach (Level 1P) qualifications

Recitation of the STF pledge is part of the component for all participants.

On successful completion of the course, coaches may apply for the appropriate professional passes to accompany players to the competition area.

Sparring Course (Level 1) 20 & 21 February 2016

The Sparring Course (Level 1) will be held on 20 & 21 February 2016 at the STF National Training Centre.
