Poomsae Level 1 Coach Course

The Poomsae Level 1 Coach Course will be held as follows. This course aims to
qualify black belts as Poomsae coaches and provide them with the passport to
become a qualified Poomsae coaches.

Date/Time:Saturday, 25 Feb 2023
 1.00pm to 6.30pm
Sunday, 26 Feb 2023
 09.00am to 1.00pm
 1.00pm to 2.00pm (Lunch)
 2.00pm onwards – Tests
*Participants must have 100% attendance to be eligible for
assessments.

Dress Code:STF approved ‘Dobok’
Pre-RequisiteMinimum 1st Dan Black Belt
Tests:Theory and Practical assessments will be conducted at the end
of the Course
Certification:Participants will be awarded Poomsae Coach Certificate
(Level 1) upon successfully completing the course.
Fees:Closing date: Thursday, 23 Feb 2023 – $75.60
After closing date – $118.80

Singapore Taekwondo Federation Coach Seminar 2023

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) Coach Seminar 2023 will be held on Sunday, 12 March 2023 at NTUC Downtown East at 1 Pasir Ris Close, Singapore 519599.


VENUE: DOWNTOWN EAST, BEGONIA BALLROOM


SESSION 1
9am to 12noon
Registration starts at 8.30am

*Lunch will be provided immediately after session 1

SESSION 2
2pm to 5pm (Updated timeslot)
Registration starts at 1.30pm

*Dinner will be provided immediately after session 2


Details

(a) This coach seminar is conducted by STF. Participants are to indicate the preferred session on the registration form as number of slots are fixed.
(b) Registration & Payment will close on Tuesday, 28 February 2023 with no further extension. By signing up for the seminar, which shall involve video recording and photographs taking, Participants shall be deemed to have consented to have their photographs and videos taken of them, for educational and publicity purposes accordingly.
(c) Dress Code: Full Dobok (STF-approved)
(d) Participants shall be subject to STF’s Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Jurisdiction for the Seminar and the duration of the coach pass.
Please be informed the renewal of coach passes and/or application of a new coach pass will be carried out at this seminar on 12 March 2023 and each participant is required to pay SGD$120 (subjected to 8% GST) for a Coach Pass which will be valid till 31 March 2026.

The programme is as follows

Current coaches MUST submit 2 passport-sized photographs and their current Coach Pass as documents for renewal. Their current passes are to be surrendered upon the issuance of the new passes.
New coaches who wish to apply a coach pass MUST submit 2 passport-sized photographs and ALL of the following documents:

  • NCAP (Level 1) Certificate / SG Coach Level 1 Certificate
  • NCAP (Level 2) Certificate
  • Poomsae Coach Certificate (Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3)

    Alternative to renewing or applying Coach Pass at the seminar on 12 March, coaches may register and attend the Coach Induction scheduled on Monday, 13 March 2023 and Sunday, 19 March 2023.

    Time: 9am to 1pm
    Venue: National Training Centre, 80 Lor Limau, Singapore 320080

    The Coach Induction cost SGD$60 (subjected to 8% GST) per participant and another SGD
    $120 (subjected to 8% GST) for a coach pass which will be valid till 31 March 2026.

power of sport, to play an active role in contributing to the sport of taekwondo and the
fraternity.


What is the role about?
You will be involved in the Singapore Taekwondo Federation’s (STF) exciting period of
transformation by working together with colleagues and the Board as One STF team. The
STF’s strategic vision and objectives encompass commercial strategies as well as to develop
new revenue streams. As a team player, you play a critical role in building sustainable
relationships with key stakeholders from both private and public sectors, commercial
partners, clubs, peer organisations, the sport fraternity and the community. Operationally, you
are required to improve processes regarding the delivery of sport programmes at all levels.


Role Summary
The Operations Executive will be responsible for:
• Operationalises STF’s strategies and plans in achieving the mission and vision of the
organisation, and entails formulation of STF’s strategies and plans in consultation
with STF’s Board Committees, goals setting, budgeting, procurement and preparing
reports

• Liaises with partners and stakeholders such as Sport Singapore (SportSG), Singapore
National Olympic Council (SNOC), regional and international sport federation, etc to
further the organisation’s goals
• Assume an active role in the following national initiatives and responsibilities namely
in the areas of safeguarding, anti-doping, sport integrity and data protection
• Practise good governance in ensuring policies and processes are in compliant with
legislation and good governance principles, with periodical reviews and updates as
required
• Perform administration/management of STF’s events and activities including
publishing of content on STF’s website
• Ensure quality service to be provided to members, clubs and affiliated associations
• Provide secretariat support to the Board; and attend to public enquiries


Requirement and Skills
Degree or similar qualification in related area of job responsibilities
Two to three years of working experiences in sport-related environment; keenness in
engaging and interacting with multi-stakeholders including public, volunteers, athletes,
coaches, sports clubs, public agencies and private entities
Proficient in administration, paperwork as well as Microsoft Office or equivalence
Excellent project management, organising, facilitating and co-ordinating skills
Good communication skills, both oral and written while being IT, media and social media
savvy are advantages.
Able to work on some evenings/weekends when required.

• Book keeping and data entry of daily transactions
• Monitor accounts receivable and liaise with customers/affiliates
• Process payment to vendors and claims reimbursement to staff
• Assist in monthly closing of accounts

• Assist in audit schedules and follow up
• Assist in procurement process such as obtaining quotations
• Maintain fixed assets register, tagging of assets, write-off of assets and update of assets
information
• Update database internally, such as sick leave, annual leave, maternity leave, childcare
leave, paternity leave, etc.
• Keep proper filing records


Requirement and skills
Diploma or similar qualification in related area of job responsibilities
Competent in accounting software
Proficient in administration, paperwork as well as in Microsoft Office or equivalence
One to two years of working experiences preferably in sport-related environment
Good communication skills, both oral and written while being media and social media savvy
are advantages.
