Clarifications for the 177 Grading

There have been some queries for the coming grading

For those going for Senior Red 1 up to 3rd Dan (2nd to 3rd Dan)

– closing date for registration is the 14th August 2020.

– pre-recorded videos are to be submitted (latest) by the 29th August 2020.

For Foundation to Red 2

– Club instructors holding 4th Dan and above will grade them during their own classes.

– The grading date will be fixed by the clubs themselves but all grading cards MUST be submitted by the 31st August 2020 to the Federation Office.

– There is no need to pre-register the number of students going for grading, the amount charged will be the number of grading cards brought to the office on the 31st August 2020.

– 177 Grading closes on the 31st August 2020.

– For those you want to recommend Double promotion or are going for the Poom belt and above, pre-record the video and send them to stkdf@mail.com. An examiner will be assigned to grade them.

Survey for Those Interested in going for 4th Dan and above

There has been some interests by members wanting to go for the higher Dan grading. Now that we are in Phase 2 of Safe Re-opening, we may be able to conduct this depending on the number of interested candidates.

The date is not finalised yet but we would like to know how many are interested.

Kindly drop the Federation an email if you wish to go for the higher Dan grading.

The survey closes 24th July 2020.

Resumption Of Office Operations

Based on the announcement on 15 June 2020, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce has assessed the situation and decided to start Phase Two after 18 June 2020, 2359 hours. Taekwondo classes can thus resume from 19 June onwards.

The Federation’s office will re-start counter operations from 29 June 2020. Please note the following measures for Phase 2.

  • Office will only be open from *Mondays to Thursday* every week. Staff will be spilt into two teams.
  • SafeEntry QR will be implemented with health and travel declarations.
  • Visitors are encouraged to download and activate the “TraceTogether” app.
  • Visitors will also go through temperature screening and recording.
  • Visitors to the STF office must call to make an appointment before coming to the STF office. To avoid overcrowding, walk-ins are not encouraged.
  • Visitors should limit the number of personnel visiting the office. Only 1 visitor (or 2 visitor of the same group) will be allowed in the office at any one time.
  • Visitors who are unwell (including having a fever upon temperature screening) must be asked to reschedule their appointments and return another day when they are well or be served via alternate means.
  • Issues that can be resolved online will be resolved online to minimize contact.

Guidelines For Resumption Of Taekwondo Activity For Phase Two (‘Safe Transition’)

Please see STF’s guidelines for the resumption of Taekwondo Acitivites for Phase Two (“Safe Transition”). The advisory is based on the latest guidelines from SportSG and other relevant authorities. Please also review and take guidance from the guidelines and measures that are listed below and which may be updated from time to time. These and other advisories from relevant authorities should be considered when you come out with your safe management plan for your re-opening.

Affiliates who are conducting classes in community clubs or similar establishments/associations must also work with the relevant parties to ensure that the measures are in place. STF has engaged the People’s Association on the resumption of Taekwondo activities in community clubs and residents’ committees and any updates will be published when available.

SportSG has advised that affiliates can resume their activities as long as they adhere to the existing advisories. In addition, affiliates must submit the declaration form found in Annex A to STF within two weeks of the date of resumption of on-site operations.
