NCAP2 Results and Re-test (31st Aug 2019)

Please note the NCAP2 re-test or for those were absent, it will be conducted at NTC on the 31st August 2019 from 4.30pm (for those who failed the Theory component.

For the YPI and Practical Presentation kindly arrange with Mr Lai Han Seng @ 97454320 or email: laihanseng@gmail.com once the results are published.

Registration before 26th August at the Federation office per component is $21.40(Inclusive of GST) or $32.10 (Inclusive o GST) for 2 components.

Late registration is @ $32.10 per component.

Coach Induction Course (31st Aug 2019)

Please note that the Coach Induction Course will be conducted on the 31st August 2019 at NTC from 1.30pm to 4.30pm Coaches who need the coach passes will have to attend the induction.

The NCAP level 1 and level 2 results will be finalised and posted up by end of this week.

Regardless of the pending results, coaches can register for the course first Last day of registration for the Induction course is on the 26th August at the Federation office @ $64.20 (inclusive of GST) Late registration / on day of Induction @ $107.00 (Inclusive of GST)

SEA Games 2019 – Selected Athletes

Congratulations to the following athletes selected for the coming 2019 SEA Games in December.

The result will be updated in Sportsync progressively. If you would like to appeal for any athletes/team, please do so from 3 Aug through the system.

The deadline is 13 Aug 2359hrs. The appeal committee will meet on 27 Aug to deliberate all submissions.

7th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships

The 7th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships, sanctioned by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation and organized by J H Kim Taekwondo Institute (Bukit Timah) – managed by Han Academy Pte. Ltd., will be held on 7 & 8 December 2019 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Singapore.

Besides promoting youth development, this year’s edition have the additional objective of supporting high performance in Singapore and there will be senior events. Rules and regulations for cadet, junior and senior events will also be aligned to international standards and processes. Besides our affiliates, club teams from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and more have been invited to participate in this year’s championships.

The information sheet and registration forms are attached. The closing date for submission is Friday 25th Oct 2019, 7.00pm.

IR for the coming 30th South East Asian Games

2 International Referees (IR) are being requested to represent STF in the 30th South East Asian Games this December 2019 in Manila.

The Organisers would prefer that the IRs have both poomsae and kyorugi referee qualifications

Interested IRs are kindly requested to put in their requests to STF by this Friday (26th July 2019) as the Federation would have to give the recommended officials by the 31st July 2019.

Kyorugi Referee Refresher Seminar (24th August 2019)

The Kyorugi Referee Refresher Seminar will be conducted on the 24th August 2019.The purpose of this refresher seminar is to update and refresh all qualified referees.

We encourage all referees to make time and come for this refresher and update Coaches and trainers who are not referees are most welcomed to attend as well

Please register at the Federation Office by filling up the course form which is available from the website.

46th National Taekwondo Kyorugi Championships – Ambassador Cup 2019

The 46th National Taekwondo Kyorugi Championships – Ambassador Cup 2018 will be on 7 & 8 September 2019 (Saturday and Sunday) and 14 & 15 September 2019 (Saturday and Sunday) at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

Documents pertaining to the competition are attached.

For this year’s competition, please note the following information.

  • The organizers will not accept incomplete submission. Submission after the closing date – that is, 8 August 2019 (Thursday) after 1600 hours – will be rejected.
  • Participating team must provide at least one referee per every 30 participants for the duration of the championships to qualify for participation. The referee may not be the same person. For example, it is acceptable for a club to submit four referees, one each for every competition day. A club will be barred from future participation if its referee fails to fulfill his or her obligations without the approval of the Tournament Chairman.
  • Each affiliate is allowed to field in more than one player per weight category per division.
  • The eligibility grade for the national championships shall be based on April 2019, second quarter grading season or the player’s last grading before April 2018 if he or she did not take his or her grading in that month.
  • Strictly not allowed to employ coaches from other clubs to coach their members during the competitions and. field their athletes under other clubs.
  • Clubs must produce sufficient coaches to take care of their own athletes during the competition especially when 4 courts are used. Athletes will be disqualified if coaches from their clubs are not available to accompany them to the arena. It will not be acceptable to use the excuse that the athlete’s coach is at another court as the competition cannot be delayed
  • Introduce head kicks for cadets (12 to 14) and juniors (15 to 17) to provide them the opportunity to optimize their skill development. There will be two categories for the two divisions – that is cadet and junior players can participate in either the head kick or non-kick category. For the head kick category, players will be required to wear headgear with protective face shield.
