The second item of the agenda should read as ‘Waiver of Constitutional requirements for a more democratic election’ instead of ‘Waiver of Constitutional requirements to all democratic elections’.

Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)

0

After Mr David Koh took over as Ag President following the departure of 7 Management members, it was business as usual and more.

Here are some evidences.

All affiliates remain with STF
Tournaments, including National School Games, were organized and well participated.
Grading was conducted without any hitch
Courses run were well attended
Athletes continued to be sent for overseas competitions and training.

On top of that, the Management Committee came up with the following new initiatives.

High Performance Ad Hoc Committee was formed to recommend steps for the enhancement of elite athletes.
Lawyers were engaged to revamp STF constitution.
Mr Steven Lam of Templars Law LLC was appointed as STF Legal Consultant.
Safety and Risk Assessment Committee was formed to review the safety processes of all STF activities.

However, the smooth running of STF was disrupted by the announcements of WT and SNOC of the suspension of STF membership on 8 May 2019.

In view of the suspension, the Management Committee would like to call for an EGM on Sunday 19 May 2019 at 4.00pm at National Training Centre with the following agenda.

Background of STF suspension
Waiver of Constitutional requirements to all democratic elections
Election of Interim Management Committee
Any other matters.

All affiliate members are encouraged to send at least one representative.

In the meantime, except for the affairs of the National Team, all activities of STF will continue as usual including the National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.
