All registrations must be made online through the students’ schools during the eregistration period till 8 March 2018 (Primary Schools) and 12 March 2018 (A, B & C Divisions). No submission, except for the Mixed Team events, will be accepted at the STF Secretariat.
Coaches are advised to use the hard copy forms attached to the Outlines for collation of data from athletes and submit to the school’s teacher-in-charge to facilitate the smooth flow of registering their students.
All the general rules and outlines pertaining to the competition are attached.
The Singapore Taekwondo Federation will be organizing a Sparring Course (Fundamental) on Sunday 28 January 2018 from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Candidates going for their Red 1 to 1st poom or dan will be exempted from sparring if they have the fundamental certification.

The primary objectives of the Poomsae Coach Course are to qualify black belts as poomsae coaches and provide them the passport to become a full-fledged national poomsae referee.

On successful completion of the course, participants with a minimum NCAP (Level 1) Technical or Poomsae Coach (Level 1P) qualification may apply for the appropriate passes to accompany players to the competition area depending on the level of their pass.

The results of the NCAP Technical (Level 1) Course held on 4, 5, 11, 12 & 25 2017 at the STF National Training Centre are attached.
Those participants who are successful are required to complete 3 months (twice a week) or 6 months (once a week) of practical coaching attachment. Trainee coaches can have their choice of schools or clubs approved by the STF for their attachment.
Form A must be returned to the STF at least two (2) weeks before they start their coaching attachment. Attachment without prior approval of STF will not be accepted.
Form B is for trainee coaches to record their attendance. It must be counter-signed by their respective club officials.

On receipt of the completed Form B, the STF will issue certificates to coaches only after having satisfied that the coaches have fulfilled their obligations. Practical attachment must be complete within 2 years of the announcement of the results. After that, the results will be considered null and void.
Please read the following important notes pertaining to the retest.
A retest will be conducted on Saturday 6 January 2018 at the STF National Training Centre for those who fail either the theory, practical or both components or pledge. Theory retest will begin at 12.30pm followed by practical at 1.30pm.
Those who are interested must register for the retest by Thursday 4 January 2018. Candidates must call the Secretariat at 6345 1491 to register and payment may be made at the venue before the retest. The registration fee is $21.40 for one component and $32.10 for both components. However, on the spot registration for the retest is $32.10 per component.
Candidates for the practical retest are required to bring along a new lesson plan.
Result pending resubmission of lesson plan must be made by Friday 5 January 2018 at the STF office. The lesson plan may be posted to the Coaching Chairman, Singapore Taekwondo Federation, 260A Tanjong Katong Road Singapore 437048 or submit on Saturday 6 January 2018 at the NTC.
Participants are advised to read their notes to prepare for the theory retest.
The Management Committee, in its monthly meeting on 19 December 2017, had approved the nominations of Mr David Koh and Ms Alice Ong for the appointment of STF examiner.
They will fill the vacant positions left Mr Ng Hwa Ann and Mr Lim Hyun. While Mr Ng resigned from his position, Mr Lim had returned to Korea to look for other opportunities.
The Management would like to put on record its deepest appreciation to Mr Ng and Mr Lim for their invaluable contributions to the development of the taekwondo and the organization and welcome Mr Koh and Ms Ong to the Board of Examiners.
The 5th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships will be held on 2 & 3 December 2017 at Heartbeat @ Bedok. 11 Bedok North St 1, Singapore 469662.
Please note that the team manager/coach briefing will be at 12.30pm on Saturday (2nd Dec) and 8.30am on Sunday (3rd Dec).
Referees are to report to Mr Andy Lee (Chief Referee) at the venue at 12.00pm on Saturday (2nd Dec) and 8.00am on Sunday (3rd Dec).
Volunteers are to report to the Organizing Committee at the venue at 8.00am on Saturday (2 Dec) to help with the set-up and training and Sunday at 8.00am for training (3rd Dec).
Referees who have not registered but are interested to officiate may report at the above timing to Mr Andy Lee at the venue.
