Congratulations to Mr Ng Keng Boon International Kyorugi Referee

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) would like to congratulate Mr Ng Keng Boon for attaining the qualification of 3P Class International Referee at the 124th International Kyorugi Referee Seminar conducted by World Taekwondo that was held in Bangkok,
Thailand.

Sister Linda Sim has often inspired others with her achievement and generous contributions to the taekwondo fraternity in Singapore.

The Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) is honoured to share that Sister Linda has been reappointed to be Vice Chairperson of Taekwondo for All Committee and Member of Member Relations and Development Commission of World Taekwondo (WT) for a second
term. The tenure will be until the end of 2025 WT Championships.

Sister Linda expresses her gratitude to be reappointed by Dr. Chungwon Choue. President of WT to continue to serve the global taekwondo family.

Role Summary

The Operations Executive will be responsible for:

  • Operationalises STF’s strategies and plans in achieving the mission and vision of the organisation, and entails formulation of STF’s strategies and plans in consultation with STF’s Board Committees, goals setting, budgeting, procurement and preparing reports
  • Liaises with partners and stakeholders such as Sport Singapore (SportSG), Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), regional and international sport federation, etc to further the organisation’s goals
  • Assume an active role in the following national initiatives and responsibilities namely in the areas of safeguarding, anti-doping, sport integrity and data protection
  • Practise good governance in ensuring policies and processes are in compliant with legislation and good governance principles, with periodical reviews and updates as required
  • Perform administration/management of STF’s events and activities including publishing of content on STF’s website
  • Ensure quality service to be provided to members, clubs and affiliated associations
  • Provide secretariat support to the Board; and attend to public enquiries

Requirement and Skills

Degree or similar qualification in related area of job responsibilities

Two to three years of working experiences in sport-related environment; keenness in engaging and interacting with multi-stakeholders including public, volunteers, athletes, coaches, sports clubs, public agencies and private entities

Proficient in administration, paperwork as well as Microsoft Office or equivalence

Excellent project management, organising, facilitating and co-ordinating skills

Good communication skills, both oral and written while being IT, media and social media savvy are advantages.

Able to work on some evenings/weekends when required.

2024 Poomsae Level 1 Coach Course Closing on 3 January 2024

The Poomsae Level 1 Coach Course will be held on 6 January and 7 January2024. This course aims to qualify black belt practitioners as Poomsae coaches and provide them with the passport to become a full-fledged national Poomsae referee. The information are as follows:

The Poomsae Referee Course will be held on 20 January & 21 January 2024 at the STF National Training Centre. Black belt practitioner who wished to officiate in all STF-sanctioned poomsae tournaments should take this opportunity to gain the qualification as the next course may be held in 2025.
