1. Submission for the Grading can only be at the STF office during office hours.
2. Please ensure that ALL grading cards are properly completed and duly endorsed. A recent photograph of the candidate must be attached.
3. For ALL candidates who are going for Red 1 & above, please have the following documents during submission:
a. Candidate’s grading card
b. 1 photocopy of the candidate’s Identity Card (front & back) / Birth Certificate (for candidate below age of 12)
c. 2 recent IC / passport photographs of the candidate
d. Form B (duly completed)
***Submission will not be accepted if any of the documents is not available or, for Form B, partially completed.
4. Submission will not be accepted if candidate fails to produce any of the documents mentioned above.
5. The last day of submission is on 19 JUNE 2017 (MONDAY). Any submission after this date will be considered as LATE SUBMISSION.
6. Late submissions for candidates taking Red 1 & above are to be done within two (2) weeks from 20 JUNE 2017 (Tuesday). Submission beyond the grace period of two (2) weeks WILL NOT be accepted. An administrative fee will be charged accordingly for late submission. The charges are as follows:

7. An administrative fee of SGD 5.00 will be charged for late submission of candidates taking all other grades except Red 1 & above.
8. A roll call will be taken at 1.30pm for Red 1 (Senior) candidates going for 1st dan and 2.30pm for 1st dan and higher candidates. Those who miss the roll call will be considered as ABSENT or LATECOMERS. Latecomers will not be graded.
9. Candidates are to turn up in proper dress code (as stipulated by the STF) for the grading. Candidates who fail to comply with the dress code will not be allowed to take the grading.
10. Supplementary Grading can only be conducted two (2) weeks before or after the Centralised Grading and will be subjected to the approval of the Grading Department.
11. Candidates will be taking the grading at their own risk and therefore will not hold the Federation, the Grading Department or anyone so concerned, responsible for any injuries, accidents or mishaps that may befall on them during the course of the grading.

The results of the Poomsae Coach Upgrading Course conducted on Sunday 1 April 2017 at Temasek Polytechnic are attached.
A retest would be held on Sunday 28 May 2017 at 2.30pm at the STF National Training Centre.
Those who are interested in the retest must call the STF at 6345 1491 by 5.00pm on Monday 22 May 2017 to register. Payment can be made at the venue before the retest. The fee is $20 and on the spot registration for those who have not registered is $30.
Participants are advised to practise their poomsae to prepare for the retest. The same poomsae will be tested.
For successful participants, they must upgrade their coach pass by Friday 2 June 2017 to be able to accompany their students into the field of play for the National Poomsae Championships.Temporary access will NOT be given to those who failed to do so.
Coaches who have received the Level 3 qualification MUST also upgrade their coach pass to reflect the correct and current level.
ITE College East is in the process of looking for coaches .
The qualifications and requirements are as follows.
1. Must have at least NCAP (National Coaching Accreditation Programme) Level 1 Coaching Certificate or equivalent eg. NROC (National Registry of Coaches) in relevant fields.
2. Must possess at least a 1st Dan certification from the Singapore TKD Federation
3. Must possess a valid First Aid certification during the stated contract period.
4. Must have prior coaching experiences with post-secondary students.
5. Must have previously coached in ITE
6. Must be able to coach at the POL-ITE (Polytechnic games/ tournaments)

Participants in the Poomsae Referee Course (March 2017) are reminded that they have to complete their 10 hours practical attachment by the National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.
Please take note of the following which had been announced during the course.
– Those who have completed the attachment at the National Inter-Schools Championships may represent their clubs as referees in the National Poomsae. The list of successful participants would be released on the website soon.
– Those who have not completed the attachment at the National Inter-Schools may do the reminding hours at the National Poomsae. They will not be able to represent their clubs.
– Those who do not complete the attachment by the National Poomsae will be considered as being unsuccessful in the course.

The 6th Singapore Youth Olympic Festival (SYOF 2017) Taekwondo Championships will be held on 8 July and 9 July 2017 at Woodlands Sports Complex.
Documents pertaining to the competition are attached.
For this year’s competition, please note the following information.
· The organizers will not accept incomplete submission. Submission after the closing date – that is, 15 June 2017 (Thu) by 1600hrs – will be rejected.
· Participating team must provide at least one referee per every 30 participants for the duration of the championships to qualify for participation. The referee may not be the same person. For example, it is acceptable for a club to submit four referees, one each for every competition day. A club will be barred from future participation if its referee fails to fulfill his or her obligations without the approval of the Tournament Chairman.
· Each affiliate is allowed to field in more than one player per weight category per division for Kyorugi event .And No limit to the number of participants a club can field for the Poomsae event.
· The eligibility grade for the championships shall be based on April 2017 (Second quarter grading season ) grading or the player’s last grading before April 2017 if he or she did not take his or her grading in that season.
· Weigh-in shall be conducted on the competition day . During Weigh-in contestant shall wear T-shirt & short. However , weigh-in may be conducted in the nude if the contest wishes to do so (Inside room). There will be only one weigh-in. Players who are over weight or under weight shall be disqualified. A weigh-in machine similar to the one used for the official weigh-in shall be provided for the players to check their weight before they are officially weighed. No weight allowance will be given.
· Male and female players are required to wear the following equipment on entering the arena: head gear, trunk protector, forearm guard, shin guard groin guard, gloves and mouth piece.
· Daedo PSS equipment will be issue to the contestants
· Doctor’s clearance will be required for those with pre-existing medical conditions
