Mr Milan Kwee, STF President, was re-elected a council member of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) in its Annual General Meeting held on Thursday, 2 June 2016 at the Dunearn Ballroom 2 & 3, Raffles Town Club. It will be his fifth term.
During the meeting, 3 candidates – Mr Kwee, Ms Juliana Seow Hui Lee (Fencing Singapore) and Dr Melanie Chew (Equestrian Federation of Singapore) – were nominated for the three positions in the Executive Committee for a one-year term. As there were no other nominees, all of them were returned unopposed.
The three members had been working actively together over the last one year to represent the interest of all National Sports Associations (NSAs) as their representatives in the SNOC. In short, they are the voices in the Olympic Movement in Singapore.
Views of NSAs were solicited by them through a ‘What’s App” chat group which was created by Ms Seow on 25 July 2015 and regular meetings organized for the purpose.
The STF congratulates all the three Council members on their election.
